I must be the only mom who dreads seeing this sight.

My son inspires me so. He starts every day as though the previous day never happened. Every single day is a clean slate for him.

Today is Matthew's first day of 3rd grade. He's so very excited to go back to school, to go back to a place where so many people don't understand him. But he goes, face first, and with all of the faith in the world that today will be a better day for him. Sometimes, it is, but many times, it's hard. He tries to cope. I try to cope.

When he gets home from school, he's exhausted, overwhelmed, spinning. He unwinds for an hour or so, then little details of his day begin to emerge, and I wish so badly that I could do this all for him. It was easier for me, I wasn't Autistic.

I love you so very much, my brave son. I want so much for you. Fight, little buddy. I'll be here to listen, to hold you and rock you, while silent tears just stream down my face for you.

Will you ever know? Will it ever occur to you, how very many tears we've cried for you? Most have been proud tears, many have been angry, burning tears, that the world around you doesn't understand how absolutely wonderful you are, my darling son.

But I do. Have a great first day of 3rd Grade, Matthew.

Swirling Fused Glass Heart Shaped Pendant

I love you guys! :)

My kiln is just jammed full of gorgeous things today. The weather is yucky here in Michigan, gloomy and gray. So I decided to throw on my favorite James Blunt CD and chill (man, I love his music), and let my glass tell me what to do. And I came up with some lovelies. This little red heart is one of them. I love hearts, and this one turned out splendid.

I had a really bad morning with my Matthew today, so he's been on my mind all day. He had a meltdown right before school about his belt, of all things, and I mean a *melt* *down*...but I had to let him go anyhow.

I hope he's ok. I wanted to keep him home and just rock him all day long, but I can't do that w/him.

ugh.

I've noticed, with all the news as of late, and all of the hate that generates itself and grows like mold...

That...

People who live in hate, are consumed with it. It becomes their everyday goal, their intention, to make someone, sometimes ANYONE feel horrible. It worries me.

I've also noticed. People who hate, well, it really shows in thier faces. Just look at a pic of someone, and watch how they've aged over the years, what the hate does to their faces. A very pretty girl, becomes just a hag. It's hate.

It's a disease, and it takes over lives, ends lives, consumes those who are easily maniupulated, is a cancer.

Hate creates very lonely old people.

I'm sorry you hate. Feel better soon.
