Faces Of Autism - Cheeseburger in Paradise

My kid knows how to put a hurtin' on a cheeseburger. This was taken last night at dusk, Matt thought it was SUPER cool that he got to stay up past his bedtime and have a cheeseburger at the Tiki Bar at the Bridge Street Tavern. We had a great time. I love that little stink bug.

Behind Matthew is my memoral garden, dedicated to my dear GG who I lost this January. My heart aches for her all day, every day. This Sunday is her birthday. I'm going to her garden, and I'm going to transplant flowers from hers to mine. I'm trying to prepare myself, but it's going to be so, so,difficult. <3
And there's Matt with his snake. We let him go. We told Matt that the snake's mama is probably sad. LOL!
When we let the snake go, it just sat there and looked at us. He (or she) just kind of hangs out in that garden now, we visit it daily.

Here's one right here. My kids canoeing last Saturday. What a lovely day here in Michigan. This pic was taken at about 11am, and my kids didn't stop canoeing all day long. They even took a picnic lunch out to the island, and brought back shells for my gardens. <3
Later that night, we had a bonfire, and a barbecue with about 30 of our closest friends. Kids running around, dogs amuck, friends laughing and telling stories about our old high school days. Man. What a gorgeous, magical day.
I was sad when the day was over.

My kiln is just jammed full of gorgeous things today. The weather is yucky here in Michigan, gloomy and gray. So I decided to throw on my favorite James Blunt CD and chill (man, I love his music), and let my glass tell me what to do. And I came up with some lovelies. This little red heart is one of them. I love hearts, and this one turned out splendid.
I had a really bad morning with my Matthew today, so he's been on my mind all day. He had a meltdown right before school about his belt, of all things, and I mean a *melt* *down*...but I had to let him go anyhow.
I hope he's ok. I wanted to keep him home and just rock him all day long, but I can't do that w/him.
ugh.
